-As Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was lifted from an ambulance into a Jerusalem hospital yesterday, his stretcher was ringed by screens and security agents. His stroke involved "massive bleeding," a doctor said.

-About 125 relatives and friends of the 12 men who died in the mine gathered for a candlelight vigil at Sago Baptist Church last night.

-Ariel Sharon attended a ceremony in his office earlier yesterday.
